The CDT in Pervasive Parallelism is comprised of Postgraduate by Research students, a large team of supervisors, and a dedicated Executive Management Committee, Steering Committee, Industrial Advisory Board and Administrative Management team.

Our students come from a diverse range of academic backgrounds, and pursue research projects in a wide range of areas:

Our supervisors have research interests spanning the pervasive parallelism spectrum. They are drawn in large part from the School of Informatics and the Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre, but in exceptional cases may be based in other departments or universities, or work at one of our industry partner companies. We strongly advise prospective candidates to contact potential supervisors while preparing the programme application; we appoint supervisors as part of the admissions process.

Supporting Services

The CDT PPar Administrative Management Team is supported by the Informatics Teaching Organisation (ITO) and the Informatics Graduate School (IGS). Both teams are based in room 1.B15 of Forrest Hill, during the core hours of Monday-Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm, although closed between 12.30-1.30pm for lunch.
